Professional Harpist Ruby performs as a Soloist, Orchestral musician,and also composes for the harp.

Ruby won a Leverhulme Scholarship to study with Charlotte Seale at The Purcell School of Music, and later trained at Trinity College of Music, London with Sioned Williams and Gabriella Dal’Olio for her degree.

Orchestras she has worked with include the ENO, ENB, BRB,& USO. Abroad she has worked Holland, Spain Belgium and Japan. Venues that Ruby has performed at include The Royal Albert Hall, The Coliseum, The Barbican, St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Sadlers Wells, Snape Maltings  Aldeburgh, The Palace Theatre Manchester, The Camden Round House, & The Institute For Contemporary Arts. Ruby is the Principal Harpist for The Meridian Ensemble, & The Chineke! Orchestra.

Ruby has recorded for Radio 3, BBC Wales, The Royal Shakespeare Company and has enjoyed appearing in several films playing the harp including “Made of Honour” for Sony Entertainment.

Her award winning solo harp work “Night Dances” won the Young Composer of Wales Prize, and went on to be chosen as the set piece for The London Harp Competition. She is published by Curiad Music and Ruby continues to compose for the harp and other instruments.

Ruby is a resident musician for Breath Arts Health Research which focuses on the effect music has on health and well being, at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, London.
